Suck it, bitch. All your dreams are dead.
Work today was insane. It was incredibly busy... I pretty much filled dairy almost non-stop all day. Craziest part of the day? When I yelled at a customer. Ok, so it wasn't really yelling, but it was stern talking with a raised voice. Basically, this guy (maybe 50 yrs old) starts complaining about our printer not working. I mess with it for a bit while explaining that it just does that sometimes and there isn't usually a whole lot we can do about it. I get it to print, but we are low on toner so it looks like shit and you can't read it, so i explain that we're out of toner and until we get more there's nothing I can really do for him. He just goes off on me and blames me for the printer not working. At one point I nicely said "Well I'm sorry about that but this is not my fault..." blah blah blah. Then this lady interrupts him and says "Excuse me sir, but I really think you're being rude to this girl." Man am I glad she did! This guy was not only berating me, but he was doing so while standing too close for comfort. She told him that he was probaby making me uncomfortable and I just said "Yes! He is." Then he starts arguing with her and tells her that I'm not a teenager and I deserve to be treated that way... That was when I lost it. I'm sure you could see the moment I snapped in my eyes, honestly. SO I said "No! That was out of line. etc" I think it really surprised him, and he tried not to walk off with his tail in between his legs by restating some of the stuff he had said before. I finished it up with "You have crossed the line and there is nothing I can do for you, sir!" To really get the impact of this you probably should have been there. And the customer who stood up for me apparently is friends with Sean (food asst manager) so I pretty much won't get in trouble for yelling at the guy. In fact, a little later, Sean walked by and was like "So I hear Summer (her name) stood up for you?" Then he just said "Next time just walk away." And that was it. Honestly, I would not even care if I got written up for that, because that was fucked up. I definately do not deserve to be treated like that because our f-ing printer is out of toner!!

Now I wonder what will happen the next time he comes in the store... and believe it or not, he tried to compare our printer not working, to being illiterate. WTF?
I'm feeling...: bitchybitchy
